Event Concluded

Event Description

During this workshop Kanika will go over processes and elements of writing your life and finding your own ‘voice’ as you do so. The workshop will focus on topics such as observation, honesty and other facets that have helped Kanika find their own style. Over the course of the session there will be writing prompts and exercises that you can engage in. Sharing or reading your writing during the session is highly encouraged. Feel free to bring in what you’re struggling with in your craft or practice to discuss, and together we can get you unstuck or provide more clarity through a group discussion.
Kanika is a writer, editor, and creative writing mentor. She has Co-Directed NYWF 2023 and is the Associate Producer for EWF 2024.  They are also the creator and editor of the literary zine More than Melanin.
