Writing What You Don't Know: Letting Your Curiosity Drive Your Project with Lynne Kelly
Sunday 28 September 2025 at 10:30AM
Bunjil Place Library
Event Description
As writers, we provide an invaluable bridge between readers and experts. As you learn about a topic you are passionate about, you begin to develop the expertise needed to write about it. You need to convey what you have learnt while also drawing on your personal journey to create an engaging narrative. If you're fascinated by a topic and would like to turn it into an essay or book, this workshop will guide you through the steps to get started.
You will learn:
· How to structure a research journey.
· How to approach experts.
· To spot and keep the quirky bits for the narrative.
· How to get your hands dirty for the narrative.
· When and how to approach publishers.
Dr Lynne Kelly AM is the author of 21 books and many articles. She is an Adjunct Research Fellow at LaTrobe University as a narrative non-fiction writer.
