Event Description

Using his experience with the Schneider Trophy air races, R.J.Mitchell designed the Spitfire fighter in 1935 .
See how this legendary fighter evolved to meet the demanding requirements of aerial warfare to become perhaps the most famous fighter of all time, becoming a symbol of freedom and resistance to tyranny.
Models will illustrate the development of this great aircraft from the SB5 Schneider Trophy Racer through to the last marks to see active service.
