Event Description

Join childrens book illustrator, Anne Ryan for a storytime reading of her picture book Salih. Through a young childs point of view, this story reflects on the challenges many families face when they are forced to leave their homes during difficult circumstances.

Anne will share her creative processes and the connections that she made when creating the artwork for this book. She will discuss the role of the illustrator and compare how meaning is expressed in both words and illustrations.

Make your own creative messages of hope in the drawing activities with Anne in her creative workshop. (ages 7 - 12)
