To better understand what makes a good (or bad) sentence, across a range of contexts.
Practical tips and exercises to improve your sentences, which you can continue to apply long after the course has finished.
To become a better reader, writer, and editor on the sentence level.
Ways to improve your writing on the sentence level in both the drafting and editing stages.
Emily Bitto is an award-winning writer of fiction, non-fiction and poetry. Her debut novel, The Strays, won the 2015 Stella Prize. Her second novel, Wild Abandon, was the winner of the 2022 Margaret and Colin Roderick Literary Award. Emily has taught creative writing for over a decade and is currently a tutor at the Faber Writing Academy.
